Yeah figure that out and I'll try and get my hands on a banjo. I think it sounds better when you play it on a banjo.....But I'll probably just use my guitar.
The last verse was altered, because of the movie I guess. I thought the song was made for the movie, anyway:

If I recall correctly, he was singing partly to get the men's minds off the 'monster' that kept sinking ships, hence the final verse.
