And so the witch-hunt begins...

Man, I wouldn't have lasted a month if things were like this when I was in high school.

Well, I didn't know it was a link either. Usually it's just the title. Anyway, that is so dumb, it's obviously a knee jerk reaction to what happened in Virginia Tech. And it doesn't help to refute my idea that asian guys will be profiled as psycotic gunslinger mass murderers. The kid is a straight a student and other kids are there in support of his returning to school. Do we see a case of a lonely, no one liked, mentally deranged kid in the midst of utter oblivion? I think not. Reading dumb stories like this though and how people don't know how to react can get you started in that direction. Probably a hard thing to stop though. I'm sure the teacher was really doing her best at what she thought as "Looking out for the best interest of the safety of the students." How convenient that just two weeks after that horrible massacre that she was able to "identify" another possible deadly situation by turning in a student that even mentioned the word "Violence". As a matter of fact, she was even able to find another asian kid that fit the description or psycho campus killers and has thus become a true heroin of the american schools......Or am I now taking the knee jerk reaction to this nonsense??? I guess until they give more clear evidence on what was exactly stated in his paper, we will never know.

Haha. I think being arrested for writing something should be illegal, at least in the US. If the US didnt always preach the free speech and liberty message then maybe... still I find this very silly and over-reactive. The student is just guilty of poor taste in humor, not an arrestable offense last i checked.

BTW he was arrested for disorderly conduct--meaning he did something that could provoke breach of peace. I think if he is found guilty, the teacher should be charged with the same thing, for releasing the information to the public and making a stir out of nothing. :-P
